Triborg Skateboards – Off-road ESk8

Triborg Skateboards from Lansing, Michigan in the US offers an off-road ESk8 since 2014. It looks handmade, well, it is handmade, but seems pretty powerful and manages almost any terrain.

Triborgs concepts are kind of unique. Their electric Skateboard has a wired remote control and only 3 wheels.

They claim that the 3 wheel design will avoid speed wobbles once you go faster. Their ESk8 makes up to 20 mph or 32 km/h.

The one wheel which is connected to the motor is actually between your feet.

This wheel is also using a dirt bike style rear suspension, which keeps the tire on the ground in almost every terrain. Rock’n Roll.

Triborg Skateboards – facts

Every Triborg ESkate is a custom built. You can choose different colours, wheels, battery pack and others, but this comes with a price. You can order it for 2,450 USD plus shipping and it will take 1-4 months for delivery.

The battery pack can be exchanged, but it takes a couple of minutes to do so. BTW, you can also charge your Smartphone or other electronics with this off-road E-Sk8. Is this useful?

The E-Board has one 900 watt motor and achieves grades up 20%. The 20ah Lithium LiDePO4 pack is good for a distance of 20 miles or 32 km.

With a pretty high weight of 50 lbs or 23 kg it has a length of 40″ or 102 cm.

Why is it a Off-road ESk8?

Triborg Skateboards are good for almost any terrain for several reasons. The wheels are huge and the aluminium frame is strong.
