The Track1 by Flux Design Co is kind of an extreme off-road electric skateboard. It is supposed to manage ANY terrain. This includes street, sand, snow and dirt.
It looks a little bit like a tank, but hey, so far we have not seen an electric skateboard for snow and water.
It is available for pre-order from November 2017 and delivery in late 2018.
Flux Design Co. is not aiming for a mass production E-Board.
Instead they are looking for perfection and designed their board with a proprietary mixture of polymers and composites which make it lightweight and strong at the same time. All components are produced in-house.
The designer Michael Menendez built his first electric vehicle in 1999 in the age of 12 years.
Over the years he continued to build electric vehicles such like a powerful UTV (Utility Task Cehicle) and his newest project is the Track1.
The battery is removable to extend the run-time and supports a range between 8-15 miles (13-24 km) depending on the weight of the rider and the terrain.
Track1 users can buy extra battery packs at Flux design Co. once available.
The e-board is good for up to 20 mph (32 km/h), but this is again depending on the same parameters like the range.
The E-Board is water-proof to a certain degree, but it is not supposed to be used in deep water.
Foot straps will be available for riders who like rough terrains. The straps can be adjusted to the rider or removed if necessary.
The Track1 is also equipped with LED’s for riding at night.
Looks like this E-Board will even have more power than the Triborg Skateboards we reviewed earlier.
